【Tanjung Piai National Park-タンジュンピアイ国立公園】

Tanjung Piai, the southernmost tip of mainland of Asia, supports a wide variety of flora and fauna which some of them are threatened. In addition, due to increased sea traffic, costal side of Mangrove forest in Tanjung Piai has been badly affected by oil spills which caused natural erosion. We will be participating a conservation program to raise awareness of the importance of the wetlands and generating information on mangrove planting and restoration. It will be our responsibility to preserve our Mangroves for the next generation!

ユーラシア大陸最南端に位置するタンジョンピアイ国立公園は、干潟を守るラムサール条約指定地でもあります。ここには約２９種のマングローブの木々が生息していて干潟にはムツゴロウ、エビ・カニ・貝なども見ることが出来ます。そしてそれらを捕食する多種の水鳥や、また林の中には猿や野ブタなどなど。。。マングローブの林は豊かな生き物たちの宝庫！
ところが近年タンジョンピアイを取り巻く環境の変化は、マングローブで暮らす生態系へも影響を与えています。自然を楽しみながら自然環境の保護活動に加わってみませんか？
